• Memory Usage Data: Tab memory consumption, process information, and system memory stats
• Trial Status: Trial start date, expiration date, and payment verification status
• Historical Data: Memory snapshots for the past 7 days (Premium feature, stored locally)

What We DON'T Collect:

• Browsing history or URLs
• Tab content or page data
• Personal information
• Analytics or tracking data
• Cookies or identifiers

Data Storage

All data collected by TabQuest is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This includes:

• Current memory snapshots (updated every 30 seconds)
• Historical memory data (last 7 days for premium users)
• Trial and payment status
• User preferences and settings

No data is transmitted to external servers except for payment processing through Dodo Payments (a secure third-party payment processor).

Permissions Explained

TabQuest requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage: To save your preferences, trial status, and memory history locally
• processes: To read memory usage information for each tab
• system.memory: To get total system memory information
• tabs: To display tab titles and favicons in the memory list
• alarms: To schedule periodic memory updates
• notifications: To notify you about trial expiration (optional)

Payment Processing

When you upgrade to TabQuest Pro, payment processing is handled securely by Dodo Payments, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor.

We do NOT store or have access to your payment card information. Only a payment verification ID is stored locally to validate your premium access.

Data Retention

• Memory Snapshots: Stored for up to 7 days (Premium users only)
• Trial Data: Stored indefinitely or until extension is uninstalled
• Settings: Stored until you uninstall the extension

All data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension.

Third-Party Services

TabQuest uses the following third-party services:

• Dodo Payments: For secure payment processing (only when you upgrade)
• Google Fonts: For loading the Press Start 2P font (privacy-friendly CDN)

No analytics, tracking, or advertising services are used.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data stored by the extension (via Chrome DevTools)
• Delete all extension data by uninstalling the extension
• Opt out of notifications at any time
• Export your memory history data (Premium feature)

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
